Meet Steve & Ryan

Volta Electrical was founded in 1999 by Steve Hardy, a fully qualified electrician with a passion for doing things properly. After 20 years building a reputation across Greater Manchester, Steve was joined by his son Ryan in 2019 — fresh from his apprenticeship and full of energy for the trade.

Together they run a tight, honest operation. No subcontractors, no cutting corners. When you book Volta Electrical, Steve or Ryan will show up — and they will leave your home cleaner than they found it.

They are NICEIC registered and Part P certified, which means every job is done to the highest safety standards and fully compliant with UK building regulations.

How We Got Here

1999

Volta Electrical is Founded

Steve Hardy qualifies as an electrician and takes on his first domestic clients in Salford.

2005

NICEIC Registration

Volta achieves NICEIC registration, cementing its reputation for quality across Greater Manchester.

2013

Expanding the Team

Growing demand means Steve takes on commercial work for the first time, covering landlords and letting agents across Trafford and Stockport.

2019

Ryan Joins the Business

Steve's son Ryan completes his apprenticeship and joins Volta full time, bringing fresh skills in EV charger installation and smart home systems.
