Bermondsey.
South London's most authentic boxing club. Established 2014 inside a railway arch. Real coaching, real fighters, real community.
No frills.
No filters.
Just boxing.
Iron District was opened in 2014 by Marcus Webb, a former professional middleweight born and raised on Bermondsey Street. After fifteen years on the circuit, he came home and turned a derelict railway arch into one of South London's most respected boxing gyms.
We're not a fitness trend. We don't sell smoothies. We teach people to box properly — from the first jab to the first fight night.
Three ways
to step in.
Boxing Classes
Structured group sessions for every level — beginners through advanced sparring. Fundamentals, footwork, conditioning, contact.
1-to-1 Coaching
Private sessions with our head coaches. Pad work, technical correction, fight prep. Built around you, not a class plan.
Competitive Programme
Selected by invitation. Amateur fighters training to compete at ABA and England Boxing level. Ring time. Sparring. Honesty.
Real people.
Real graft.
"Walked in two years ago not knowing how to throw a jab. Had my first white-collar bout last spring. The coaches don't sugar-coat anything and that's exactly why it works."
"It's the only gym I've trained at where people actually know your name. No mirrors-and-music nonsense, just proper work. Marcus runs it like a family."
"I came back to boxing after twelve years off. Thought I'd be the oldest one in there. Instead found a room full of grown adults grinding. Best decision I've made in a decade."
